Erna Jὅrgensen (Director) Erna Jὅrgensen, Co-director of MarkData, has 21 years research experience.

Erna started her career in Survey Research at Markdata, which was then a division of the Human Sciences Research Council in Pretoria, where she spent seven years. During this time she acquired a strong background in Marketing Management and Marketing Research, as well as in the Social Sciences. She then relocated to Windhoek where she established her own Market Research company called Research Facilitation Services (RFS), which she ran very successfully for 14 years before selling it. RFS was regarded highly by both local and international clients, with a solid track record of repeat clients and long-term relationships to its credit.

Johns Hopkins University Health Communication Partnership, Baltimore, USA; now Nawa Life Trust in Windhoek; Health Systems Trust, The Legal Assistance Centre, UNICEF Namibia, Namibia Institute for Democracy, The Institute for Public Policy Research, The Royal Netherlands Embassy, The University of Bochum, The Southern African Democracy Barometer in Namibia (part of an eighteen-country study) for the Institute for Democracy in Southern Africa (IDASA), Bank Windhoek, Namibian Manufacturers Association, Livestock Producers Association of Namibia, Namib Poultry Industries, Namibia Dairies and the Namibia Trade Forum.

Erna has a thorough knowledge of Research Methodology, both quantitative and qualitative. Erna and Elsa have worked closely together on projects in Namibia and South Africa for more than 20 years, and based on this successful long-standing relationship, Erna has recently re-joined Markdata.
